Saylorville Water Treatment Plant West Feeder Main
Work has begun for the installation of a new 48-inch feeder main that is a necessary connection for the planned expansion of the Saylorville Water Treatment Plant. The 74 inch-diameter casing pipe was installed under Merle Hay Road next to Beaver Creek in early July 2024. The 48-inch pipe will be installed this summer.
Preparing for Plant Expansion
The expansion of the Saylorville Plant will boost its capacity from 10 million gallons a day to 20 million gallons a day. This will provide more water capacity to the western areas of the metro including Johnston.
