In its role as a regional drinking water supply authority, Central Iowa Water Works facilitates cooperation, collaborative governance and cost-sharing. Members are already cooperating on projects that expand water treatment capacity for growing communities throughout the region.

Saylorville Water Treatment Plant West Feeder Main

The larger main will serve the planned expansion to double the capacity of the Saylorville treatment plant.

West Feeder Main to Saylorville

Work has begun for the installation of a new 48-inch feeder main that is a necessary connection for the planned expansion of the Saylorville Water Treatment Plant. The 74 inch-diameter casing pipe was installed under Merle Hay Road next to Beaver Creek in early July 2024.
