Saylorville Plant Conducts Ultra Filtration Pilot Project

The Saylorville Water Treatment Plant uses ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis technology to clean raw source water and make it safe for drinking. This four-month pilot tested three mini filtration systems inside the Saylorville plant for performance, but none of water was sent into the distribution system. The results will determine the filter system that will be used for the planned expansion of the plant, which will increase capacity by 10 million gallons per day.

Data for Decisions

The pilot project wraps up soon, and the results will provide the data necessary to choose the best filtration system for the plant's future expansion.
